Biography:

Katherine Jenkins was born on June 29, 1980 in Neath, Wales. She came to public attention when she sang at Westminster Cathedral in honour of Pope John Paul II’s silver jubilee.

She then released her debut album Premiere in 2004. She has since released other albums such as Second Nature, also in 2004, Living a Dream in 2005, Serenade and From the Heart in 2006, Rejoice in 2007, Sacred Arias in 2008, Believe in 2009, Daydream in 2011 and This is Christmas in 2012.

Six out of her seven studio albums peaked at No. 1 in the UK classical charts from 2004 to 2008. She also became the first female artist to win two consecutive Classical BRIT Awards.
