Biography:

Kavita Kaushik was born on 15 February 1981 in Kashipur, Uttarakhand, India. She attended Indraprastha College for Women, Delhi. There, she graduated with a degree in Philosophy. While still in college, she had also started doing modeling and hosting gigs. In 2001, she made her television debut on Kutumb. Three years later, she made her movie debut with a small role in Ek Hasina Thi.

Her first starring role on television was on Remix. She next starred as Annie on the show Ye Meri Life Hai. She next played the role of Sub Inspector Anushka on C.I.D.. Her major breakthrough was as Chandramukhi Chautala on the long-running series F.I.R.. She played the said part from 2006 to 2015, gaining her widespread fame. This year, she starred in the Punjabi film Vekh Baraatan Challiyan.
