Biography:
Keith Urban was born on October 26, 1967 in Whangarei, Northland, New Zealand. His recording career began in 1991 in Australia when he released a self-titled debut album. The following year, he relocated to the US and worked as a session guitarist. He then formed the band The Ranch shortly after. He made his solo debut in the US with the album Keith Urban in 1999.
It spawned the single “But for the Grace of God”. His second album Golden Road was then released in 2002 with the first single “Somebody Like You” becoming named as the biggest country hit of the 2000s. He won his first Grammy Award for the song “You’ll Think of Me”. He’s currently known as a coach in the Australian version of The Voice and as a judge on American Idol. He’s married to actress Nicole Kidman.
