Biography:

Kelly Macdonald was born on February 23, 1976 in Glasgow, Scotland, UK. She began her career when she auditioned for the film Trainspotting, eventually winning the part of Diane.

She then starred in such films as Two Family House, Gosford Park, Intermission and Finding Neverland, among others.

In 2005, she starred in Nanny McPhee and in the Coen brothers’ Academy-award winning film No Country for Old Men in the following year, where she received a BAFTA nomination for Best Supporting Actress.

As of 2010, she plays the role of Margaret Schroeder in HBO’s Boardwalk Empire.
