Biography:
Kevin Bacon was born on July 8, 1958 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, U.S. He received a full scholarship and attended Pennsylvania Governor’s School for the Arts at Bucknell University.
He then made his film debut in the 1978 feature National Lampoon’s Animal House. He gained wider fame for his role in the 1982 film Diner and in the 1984 smash-hit Footloose.
He went on to earn his first Golden Globe nomination for Best Supporting Actor in 1994 for his performance in The River Wild. He recently won the SAG Award for Best Actor for his role in the TV series The Following.
