Kevin Smith is an American actor and filmmaker. In 1994, he debuted in the film Clerks, which he also wrote, directed and produced. Playing the role of Silent Bob, he has since continued playing the part in Mallrats, Chasing Amy, and Dogma. This continued in the 2000s with the movies Jay and Silent Bob Strike Back and Clerks II while also serving as writer and director. Other films he wrote and directed during this period were Jersey Girl and Zack and Miri Make a Porno. In 2011, he ventured into the horror genre with Red State. This was followed by another horror feature, Tusk, released in 2014. He later wrote, directed, and starred in the movie Yoga Hosers. He’ll play Silent Bob again in the upcoming Jay and Silent Bob Reboot.
