Khandi Alexander is an American actress, as well as a dancer. She had her acting debut in the 1985 film Streetwalkin’. In the 1990s, she had performances in the films Joshua Tree, CB4, and Menace II Society. She next gained recognition for her role in the movie What’s Love Got to Do with It. Subsequently, she starred in Poetic Justice, Sugar Hill, and House Party 3, among others. In 1998, she starred as Joanie in There’s Something About Mary.
