Biography:
Kim Delaney was born on November 29, 1961 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, United States. She relocated to New York and worked as a model after graduating. Simultaneously, she trained in acting with William Esper. In 1981, she made her debut as Jenny on the soap opera All My Children. She was on the show until 1984. Subsequently, she appeared in the films That Was Then… This Is Now and The Delta Force, among others.
In the 1990s, she was widely recognized for playing Det. Diane Russell on NYPD Blue. Around the same time, she had also starred on the short-lived series Philly. In the 2000s, she went on to have remarkable characters on such shows as CSI: Miami and The O.C.. She returned to prime time as Claudia Joy Holden on Army Wives.
