Kristen Schaal is an American actress, comedian, and writer. In 2001, she debuted as Valerie Holmes in the TV series The Education of Max Bickford. That same year, she had her first film role in Kate & Leopold. She next had roles in the films Adam & Steve, Delirious, and Cirque du Freak: The Vampire’s Assistant. On TV, she played Gail in Six Degrees, appeared in 7 episodes of Freak Show, and starred as Mel in Flight of the Conchords. Between 2008 and 2016, she became known for her regular work in The Daily Show where she was a commentator. Also, as of 2011, she stars as Louise Belcher in the animated sitcom Bob’s Burgers. Recently, she starred as Carol Pilbasian in the Fox series The Last Man on Earth.
