It was in 1987 that actress Kristin Davis started her Hollywood career. By the 1990s, her work as a film and TV performer even became more prolific. From 1995 to 1996, she starred as Brooke Armstrong on Melrose Place. This was her first significant work on the small screen. She then rose to international prominence for starring as Charlotte York Goldenblatt on Sex and the City. The show was a huge success and has also spawned film sequels – Sex and the City and Sex and the City 2. Also in the late 2000s, she starred in the films The Shaggy Dog, Deck the Hall, and Couples Retreat. In the 2010s, she starred in the feature Journey 2: The Mysterious Island. Her latest work on television was as Ginny Taylor-Clapp on Bad Teacher.
The Sex and the City star maintains her slender physique and youthful glow by working out and eating healthy. She understands that with her age it is more vital to be cautious of her eating habits. This is why she mostly opts nutritious foods and avoids junk foods. At least most of the time. On the other hand, she also knows how to balance her eating habits. She doesn’t believe in strict dieting to get skinny. In an interview, she said:
“I eat a lot of chicken, salmon, eggs and side salads. But if all I ate were salads every day, I’d shoot myself. Who cares if you can fit in your skinny jeans if you can’t enjoy life and have something good to eat? I went through periods when I said I can’t have this, I can’t have that. Now I don’t deprive myself. Food is meant to be enjoyed.” When asked what she would like to indulge herself in, she said:
“Chocolate! I especially love M&M’s. These days, if I want some, I eat them. When it’s hot in the summer, I have to have my ice cream. One trick I’ve learned is that if I have an ice cream bar, I’m okay having four bites and then throwing it away. I don’t need to eat the whole thing to feel satisfied.”
