Kristine Sutherland is an American actress. She started her Hollywood career in the 1980s. In 1989, she starred in the film Honey, I Shrunk the Kids. She also guest-starred in the TV shows Remington Steel and Easy Street. In the 1990s, she guest-starred in an episode of California Dreams. Between 1997 and 2002, she became widely known for her role as Joyce Summers in Buffy the Vampire Slayer. Following this, she made appearances on the small screen, such as in Providence, Comanche Moon, and New Amsterdam. From 2010 to 2011, she appeared as Dean McKenzie in some episodes of One Life to Live. Sutherland also starred in the 2012 film The Perfect Wedding.
