Biography:

Kristy Swanson was born on December 19, 1969 in Mission Viejo, California, U.S. She began her career at the The Actors Workshop and immediately switched into commercial roles and appearances in such shows as Cagney and Lacey and Alfred Hitchcock Presents.

In 1992, she gained wider recognition after playing the title character in the movie Buffy the Vampire Slayer. She has since starred in other films including The Program, The Chase, Getting In, and Higher Learning, among others.

On television, she became widely known for some of her notable characters such as the role of Jody Campbell in Knots Landing and Erica Paget in Early Edition.
