Laura Dern is a Hollywood actress whose career started in the 1970s with uncredited roles. By the ’80s, she was able to land more roles in the movies. In 1986, she started her collaboration with director David Lynch in Blue Velvet. She worked with the director again in 1990’s Wild at Heart. She next starred as the titular character in Rambling Rose where she was nominated for an Oscar for Best Actress. She next played Dr. Ellie Sattler in Steven Spielberg’s Jurrasic Park. She continued her career in the 2000s but she gained substantial attention recently again in the 2010s. For one, she had a supporting role in the movie Wild that got her an Oscar nomination for Best Supporting Actress. More recently, she played Renata Klein in the HBO drama series Big Little Lies, which won her Primetime and Golden Globe awards.
