Biography:

Laura San Giacomo was born on November 14, 1962 in West Orange, New Jersey, USA. She attended Carnegie Mellon School of Drama in Pittsburgh where she received a Fine Arts degree, specializing in acting.

She then appeared on television with notable roles in Crime Story and Miami Vice. In 1989, she made her breakthrough with the film Sex, Lies, and Videotape.

Her work in this film earned her a Golden Globe nomination and won her a Los Angeles Film Critics Association New Generation Award. She has since starred in other films, including Pretty Woman, Miles from Home and Quigley Down Under.
