Biography:

Lauren Ambrose was born on February 20, 1978 in New Haven, Connecticut, USA. She is a trained opera singer who had done her training at the Boston University Tanglewood Institute.

Her first television appearance was in Law & Order, appearing in three episodes. From 2001 to 2005, she gained fame for her role as Claire Fisher in Six Feet Under, for which she earned an Emmy nomination for Outstanding Supporting Actress.

She has also starred in several feature films including Summertime’s Calling Me, Psycho Beach Party, Starting Out in the Evening, A Dog Year, Loving Leah and Wanderlust.
