Lauren Lee Smith was born on June 19, 1980 in Vancouver, Canada. Her professional acting career started in the late 1990s when she made her television debut in Beyond Belief: Fact or Fiction. In the early 2000s, she made a minor appearance in the movie Get Carter and appeared on the pilot episode of Dark Angel. Her first main role on television was as Emma DeLauro in the sci-fi series Mutant X.
In the next few years, she played notable roles in various television shows, including The L Word, CSI: Crime Scene Investigation, Good Dog, and The Listener. While being active on the small screen, she has also landed roles in some films like in The Last Kiss, Trick ‘r Treat, Late Fragment, Helen, and If I Stay, as well as in the miniseries Ascension.
