Biography:

Laurie Holden was born on December 17, 1969 in Los Angeles, California, United States. She studied at the McGill University, majoring in economic investing but graduated from UCLA where she received the Natalie Wood Acting Award.

She then attended Columbia University where she took a Master of Human Rights degree. Her first television appearance was in The Martian Chronicles. In 1989, she gained notice for her performance in the film Physical Evidence.

In 2001, she gained critical acclaim for her performance in Frank Darabont’s The Majestic. On television, she gained fame as Marita Covarrubias in The X-Files and as Andrea in The Walking Dead.
