Biography:

Leah Cairns was born on June 2, 1974 in North Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada. She originally aspired to become a professional dancer. However, a car accident got her back injured, rendering her unable to further her dance training. After backpacking for eight years, she pursued an acting career, though she had her first class in India.

In 2005, she made her television debut when she appeared on Robson Arms. She gained a Leo Award nomination for Best Supporting Actress for her performance. This is the equivalent of Emmys in Canada. She next starred alongside Al Pacino in the movie 88 Minutes. She went on to play the role of Emily Hollander on Kyle XY.
