Biography:
Leah Remini was born on June 15, 1970 in Brooklyn, New York. At age 13, she and her mother relocated to Los Angeles. In 1988, she made her screen debut on the TV series Head of the Class. The remainder of the decade saw her made guest appearances on various shows. Her first notable role was on Living Dolls. In the ’90s, she had recurring roles on the shows The Man in the Family and Saved by the Bell.
She went on to star on the short-lived program First Time Out. From 1997 to 1998, she starred as Terry Reynolds on Fired Up. Her biggest role thus far was as Carrie Heffernan on The King of Queens, which she played from 1998 to 2007. A few years later, she ventured into hosting with the show The Talk. This year, she started starring as Vanessa Cellucci on Kevin Can Wait.
