Biography:
Lene Nystrøm was born on October 2, 1973 in Tønsberg, Norway. She developed her passion for performing as a teenager. She first worked as a model and appeared in the Norwegian game show Casino from 1990 to 1993.
In 1994, she was spotted by musician René Dif while working as a singer on the Norwegian cruise ship MS Peter Wessel. She was then recruited to be the lead singer of the music group Joyspeed, which was later renamed Aqua.
The group had released two albums, Aquarium in 1997 and Aquarius in 2000, before their split in 2001. After the band’s break up, she pursued a solo career releasing her first solo album Play with Me in 2003.
