Leonardo DiCaprio was born on November 11, 1974 in Hollywood, Los Angeles, California. He started his career appearing in television commercials before landing recurring roles in TV shows like Santa Barbara and Growing Pains.

He made his film debut in the 1991 movie Critters 3, followed by his acclaimed performance in the 1993 film This Boy’s Life. He then gained recognition for his performances in What’s Eating Gilbert Grape and Marvin’s Room.

In 1997, he gained international fame for his role as Jack Dawson in James Cameron’s Titanic. He received his first Golden Globe Award for Best Actor for his work in the 2004 film The Aviator.
