Biography:
Liam Neeson was born on June 7, 1952 in Ballymena, County Antrim, Northern Ireland. He attended Queen’s University Belfast, Northern Ireland where he studied physics and computer science.
In 1993, he shot to fame for his role as Oskar Schindler in Steven Spielberg’s award-winning feature Schindler’s List, for which he received an Academy Award nomination for Best Actor.
He also played the title role in the 1996 film Michael Collins, earning a Golden Globe nomination for Best Actor. He has since starred in other well-known films, including Star Wars Episode I: The Phantom Menace, Gangs of New York, Taken and Batman Begins, to name a few.
