Biography:

Liane Balaban was born on June 24, 1980 in North York, Ontario, Canada. She enrolled at the Ryerson University to study journalism, but dropped out to focus on acting, though she eventually finished a political science degree from Concordia University. In 1999, she made her movie debut in the Canadian film New Waterford Girl, followed by her TV debut on The City.

In the next few years, he acted in a couple of TV films and indie movies, such as World Traveler, Spliced, Seven Times Lucky and the miniseries Above and Beyond. She became further known among international audiences for her notable role on the TV series Covert Affairs, Alphas, as well as joined the cast of Supernatural for its eight season.
