Lily Cole was born on December 27, 1987 in Torbay, United Kingdom. She was 14 when she was discovered by a modeling scout, which paved the way for a modeling career. When she was only 16, she secured her first cover appearance on British Vogue. Becoming well-known in the fashion industry, she has worked with prominent fashion houses such as Alexander McQueen, Chanel, Louis Vuitton, Jean Paul Gaultier, Marc Jacobs, and Prada, among others.

In 2007, she ventured into acting with her debut in the British film St. Trinians. Her first starring role was in the 2009 fantasy movie The Imaginarium of Doctor Parnassus. In the 2010s, she has starred in the movies The Moth Diaries, Confession of a Child of the Century, and appeared as Greta in the Hollywood film Snow White and the Huntsman.
