She also landed roles in the films The Long Riders, A Nightmare on Elm Street, Critters, The Hidden, and Critters 2: The Main Course. In the ’90s, Shaye had roles in the movies Amityville: A New Generation, Even Cowgirls Get the Blues, Dumb & Dumber, and There’s Something About Mary. In the 2000s, she was known for her supporting roles in National Lampoon’s Barely Legal, Dumb and Dumberer: When Harry Met Lloyd, Dead End, Stuck on You, A Cinderella Story, and Drop Dead Sexy, to name a few. More recently, she played Elise Rainier in the Insidious films.
