Biography:
Lisa Loeb was born on March 11, 1968 in Bethesda, Maryland. Her recording and singing career began when her song, “Stay (I Missed You)”, was included in the 1994 feature Reality Bites, through the recommendation of her friend, actor Ethan Hawke.
The single reached No. 1 in numerous music charts and she became the first artist to have a Number 1 single while not signed with a recording label. In 1995, she released her debut album, Tails, followed by Firecracker in 1997.
She has also worked in film and television with her appearances in the television shows Dweezil & Lisa and Number 1 Single, and released children’s music with the albums Catch the Moon and Camp Lisa.
