Biography:

Lucas Hedges was born on December 12, 1996, in New York City, USA. His father is director Peter Hedges. He attended University of North Carolina School of the Arts where he studied theater. In 2007, he made his film debut as an extra in the film Dan in Real Life, which was directed by his father. He pursued a full-time career in the 2010s.

In 2012, he played the role of Redford in Wes Anderson’s movie Moonrise Kingdom. He later had performances in the movies Arthur Newman, Labor Day, The Zero Theorem, Kill the Messenger, and Anesthesia. In 2016, he gained wider recognition for starring as Patrick Chandler in the drama film Manchester by the Sea. His next performance was in 2017’s Lady Bird. In 2018, he starred as Jared Eamons in the film Boy Erased, which earned him a Golden Globe nomination for Best Actor.
