Biography:

Maia Mitchell was born on August 18, 1993 in Lismore, New South Wales, Australia. She started acting in school plays and in local theatre productions.

She got her big break at age 12 after being cast as Brittany Flune in the Australian series Mortified. This was followed by her role as Natasha Hamilton in another series, Trapped.

In 2011, she was cast as Natasha Hamilton in Castaway and won the lead role of Callie Jacob in the ABC Family series The Fosters, which she still plays up to present. She made her film debut with Disney Channel Original Movie’s Teen Beach Movie and starred in the horror film After Dark.
