Biography:

Malaika Arora Khan was born on August 23, 1973 in Bombay, Maharashtra, India. She began her career when she was chosen as one of the MTV VJs when MTV India started airing.

She became known for doing item numbers for a number of Bollywood films, her first being “Chaiyya Chaiyya” in the film Dil Se… She did another item number, “Kaal Dhamaal,” in the film, Kaal and in Mahesh Babu’s Telugu film Athidhi.

Because of her item numbers, she is recognized as one of India’s top item girls. She then married Arbaaz Khan, venturing into film production with their company Arbaaz Khan Productions.
