Mandy Patinkin is an American actor. He debuted in 1977 with the TV movie Charleston. He later made his first movie appearance in The Big Fix. His career flourished during the 1980s, starring in the film Yentl, which earned him a Golden Globe nomination. He became further known for his role as Inigo Montoya in 1987’s The Princess Bride. During the ’90s, he had performances in the films Dick Tracy, True Colors, Impromptu, and The Music of Chance. On television, he first gained success for starring as Dr. Jeffrey Geiger on Chicago Hope. As of 2011, he stars as Saul Berenson on the Showtime series Homeland. His performance here has earned him a Primetime Emmy nomination.
