Marcia Gay Harden is an American actress. Her acting career started in the 1980s on television. The following decade, she started a film career. Her debut on the big screen, as well as her breakthrough was in Miller’s Crossing. She has since appeared in the films Used People, Safe Passage, and The First Wives Club, among others. Her portrayal of Lee Krasner in 2000’s Pollock earned her an Oscar award for Best Supporting Actress. Subsequently, she played supporting roles in Mystic River, Mona Lisa Smile, and American Dreamz. Her performance in Mystic River earned her an Oscar nomination in the supporting actress category. More recently, she’s known for playingGrace Trevelyan Grey in Fifty Shades of Grey and Fifty Shades Darker. As of 2015, she stars as Dr. Leanne Rorish on the TV series Code Black.
