It was in 1999 that actor Matthew Morrison started his career in Hollywood. He debuted in the movie Bob Rizzo’s Siply Funk with Suzanne. His first TV appearance was in Sex and the City. He began the 2000s with a small role in the film Bollywood Calling. His next role was in 2003’s Marci X. The rest of the 2000s saw him perform in the films Once Upon a Mattress, Blinders, Music and Lyrics, Dan in Real Life, and I Think I Love My Wife. At the same time, he had one-time roles in Law & Order: Criminal Intent, Ghost Whisperer, CSI: Miami, and Numb3rs. He also played Adam Munson in the soap opera As the World Turns.
In 2009, he starred in the made-for-television film Taking Chance. It was also during that year that he gained mainstream fame. This was courtesy of his role as Will Schuester in the Fox musical comedy-drama series Glee. He starred in the show until its finale in 2015. With the show’s worldwide popularity, Morrison became a huge star. This led him to have notable roles in the films The Muppets, What to Expect When You’re Expecting, Playing It Cool, and Underdogs. After Glee, he starred in the movies After the Reality and Tulip Fever. He’s also recently played Connor Fox in The Good Wife and Dr. Paul Stadler in Grey’s Anatomy.
Apart from his workout routine, the Glee actor stays in good shape by following a healthy diet plan. Most of the time, it’s lean proteins, whole grains, and fiber-rich foods. There are also instances that he applies some weird diet tricks to get results fast. In an interview, the actor recounted how he only consumed sweet potatoes three days before a photo shoot. “I had to have a six-pack on show,” said the actor. “The potato acts as a sponge and your body literally shrinks and gets ripped and tight.”
