Biography:

Meera Jasmine was born on February 15, 1982 in Thiruvalla, Kerala, India. She attended Assumption College, Changanassery where she majored in Zoology. During this time, she was spotted by director Blessy who cast her in the film Soothradharan in 2001.

The following year, she starred in the Tamil films Run and Bala. She then received critical acclaim for her performance in the Malayalam movie Kasthoorimann, winning the Filmfare Award for Best Malayalam Actress.

She went on to gain wider fame as she earned widespread praise for her portrayal of Shahina in Paadam Onnu: Oru Vilapam, receiving the National Film Award for Best Actress.
