Biography:

Melanie C was born on January 12, 1974 in Whiston, Merseyside, England, United Kingdom. She first came to prominence as a member of the girl group Spice Girls where she was commonly called Sporty Spice. With the Spice Girls, she toured several countries and sold over 100 million records internationally.

She made her first solo attempt with her collaboration with Bryan Adams on the hit single When You’re Gone. She then released her solo debut album Northern Star, which sold four million copies.

She has since released her subsequent albums, Reason in 2003, Beautiful Intentions in 2005, This Time in 2007, The Sea in 2011, and Stages in 2012.
