Melissa Peterman is an American actress. She’s also a comedian. She began her career in the mid-1990s. She made her debut with a small role in the 1996 film Fargo. In the 2000s, she became widely known for playing Barbra Jean Booker Hart in the sitcom Reba, which aired on television from 2001 to 2007. During that period, she also had a role in the movie How High, as well as appeared as herself in the show The Pyramid. After Reba, she hosted the short-lived stand-up comedy series CMT Comedy Stage. From 2009 to 2012, she hosted the karaoke game show The Singing Bee. She also starred as Carli Mitchell in the series Working Class.
