Biography:

Michael McMillian was born on October 21, 1978 in Colorado Springs, Colorado, U.S.. He attended Interlochen Arts Academy where he took courses in acting, playwriting and screenwriting. He went on to attend Carnegie Mellon University. It was there that he got an agent. In 2002, he made his TV debut in an episode of 8 Simple Rules. He next appeared in an episode of Firefly.

In 2004, he made his cinematic debut in the movie Dorian Blues. His first significant role on the small screen was as Henry Gibson on What I Like About You. He next starred as Harper Sims on the short-lived series Saved. He next starred in the 2007 horror film The Hills Have Eyes 2. From 2008 to 2014, he became known for his role as Steve Newlin on True Blood. Since 2016, he’s been starring as Tyler Wexler on Shameless.
