Biography:
Michael Urie was born on August 8, 1980 in Dallas, Texas, United States. He attended Juilliard School, graduating in 2003. There, he started performing on stage. In 2002, he made his television debut in an episode of Undressed. He then made his film debut in Uptown Girls. His breakthrough came as Marc St. James on the TV series Ugly Betty. He starred on the show from 2006 to 2010.
While on the show, he starred in the movie Beverly Hills Chihuahua. He reprised his role as Marc St. James on the Ugly Betty spin-off Mode After Hours. In the 2010s, he had roles in the movies The Decoy Bride, Jeremy Fink and the Meaning of Life, Petunia, and Such Good People. From 2014 to 2016, he became known for playing Stephen Dinovera on The Good Wife.
