Michelle Hurd is an American actress whose career started in 1989. She debuted in the film Rude Awakening. In the 1990s, she became known for some of her roles on television. She starred as Dana Kramer in the soap opera Another World from 1991 to 1997. At the same time, she played recurring character ADA Reynolds in New York Undercover. She next played Simone Lewis in the short-lived series Malcolm & Eddie. From 1999 to 2001, she starred as Detective Monique Jeffries in Law & Order: Special Victims Unit, gaining her wider recognition. Following this, Hurd starred as Athena Barnes in Showtime’s Leap Years. In the 2010s, she starred as Colleen Manus in The Glades. More recently, she starred as Shepherd in Blindspot and Gina Santos in Younger. She currently plays Raffi Musiker in Star Trek: Picard.
