Biography:
Ming-Na Wen was born on November 20, 1963 in Coloane Island, Macau. She relocated to Queens, New York with her family. She then attended Carnegie Mellon University where she graduated with a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Drama.
In 1988, she had her first television role in the soap opera As the World Turns, playing the role of Lien Hughes. She then starred in the acclaimed movie The Joy Luck Club in 1993, leading her to land the role of Dr. Deb Chen in the television series ER.
She has since appeared in such films as Street Fighter, Hong Kong 97 and One Night Stand, among others.
