Biography:

Minka Kelly was born on June 24, 1980 in Los Angeles, California. She is the only child of former Aerosmith guitarist Rick Dufay and Maureen Dumont Kelly.

In 2003, she made her acting debut as an extra in the short film Turbo-Charged Prelude, an introduction to the action film “2 Fast 2 Furious”. A guest appearance on Cracking Up followed. She has since appeared in several television shows.

In 2006, she was cast as a series regular on NBC’s Friday Night Lights. She received praise for her portrayal of Lyla Garrity with The New York Times calling her performance “heartbreaking”.
