Biography:

Minnie Driver was born on January 31, 1970 in Finsbury Park, London, England. She was raised in Barbados, and attended the Webber Douglas Academy of Dramatic Art.

She made her television debut in 1991, appearing in a UK television advertisement. That same year she also made her stage debut.

She first gained notice when she played the lead role in the 1995 film Circle of Friends. She has since appeared in such films as GoldenEye, Sleepers and Grosse Pointe Blank.

She achieved wider recognition playing opposite Matt Damon in Good Will Hunting, for which she received an Academy Award nomination for Best Supporting Actress.
