Biography:

Monica Bellucci was born on September 30, 1964 in Umbria, Italy. She originally pursued becoming a lawyer, but while attending the University of Perugia, she modeled to ease financial burdens of school. This eventually led to her modeling career.

In 1988, she moved to Milan and joined Elite Model Management. She also branched out to acting, making her acting debut on television in 1990. She also appeared in Bram Stoker’s Dracula, making this her American film debut.

In 1996, she starred in the French film The Apartment, which earned her further prominence. Other credits include Malena, Under Suspicion and Brotherhood of the Wolf.
