Morris Chestnut is an American actor whose career started in the early 1990s. His first acting gig was in an episode of the show Freddy’s Nightmares. He next made his film debut in Boyz n the Hood where he also played a starring role. He then starred as Jeff Carswell on the short-lived sitcom Out All Night. He later starred in the movies The Inkwell, Under Siege 2: Dark Territory, and G.I. Jane. His performance in the movie The Best Man got him an NAACP Image Award nomination for Outstanding Actor in a Motion Picture.

In the 2000s, he had starring performances in the movies The Brothers, Two Can Play That Game, Half Past Dead, Anacondas: The Hunt for the Blood Orchid, and The Game Plan, among others.
