Biography:

Mozhan Marnò was born on May 3, 1980 in Los Angeles, California. She completed a degree in comparative literature from Barnard College of Columbia University. She eventually finished her MFA in acting from Yale School of Drama. In 2006, she made her debut in an episode of the TV series The Unit.

The following year, she made her big screen debut with a small role in the film Charlie Wilson’s War. In 2008, she she had her first lead in the movie The Stoning of Soraya M.. This earned her a Satellite Award nomination for Best Supporting Actress – Motion Picture. Her first significant role on the small screen was as Ayla Sayyad on House of Cards. Since 2014, she stars as Samar Navabi on The Blacklist.
