Mrunal Thakur is an Indian actress who primarily works in Hindi and Marathi movies. She first acted on television, debuting in the Star Plus series Mujhse Kuchh Kehti…Yeh Khamoshiyaan in 2012. After this, she starred on another show, Har Yug Mein Ayega Ek Arjun. She became further known among television audiences for starring in Zee TV’s Kumkum Bhagya.
Around this time, she made her cinematic debut in the 2014 Marathi film Vitti Dandu. Shortly after, she starred in the movie Surajya. She then appeared as herself in the reality shows Box Cricket League and Nach Baliye 7. She also appeared in the Indonesian soap opera Tuyul & Mbak Yul Reborn.
Thakur gained mainstream recognition for her titular character in the Hindi-English film Love Sonia. For this, she won the Best Newcomer Award at the London Indian Film Festival. She next had performances in such films as Super 30 and Batla House. Thakur was also part of the Netflix anthology series Ghost Stories. Also, the actress starred in the Netflix series Baahubali: Before the Beginning.
Apart from sticking to a healthy diet plan, Mrunal Thakur believes it’s important to stay fit by choosing a workout routine that makes you happy. “I believe you have to enjoy a workout. It has to be the kind of activity that makes you happy — whether that’s dancing or tennis, walking, running or swimming,” said the actress.
“My favourite exercise is TRX, which I got introduced to a while ago. You hang TRX bands from a bar or put it with some weights in between doors, and work out. The best thing about it is, if you have it with you, you can get a full cardio or strength-training workout anywhere.” Even when traveling for work shoots, the actress doesn’t skip her stretches and continues to stay active by going running.
