Biography:
Nancy Travis was born on September 21, 1961 in New York City, New York, USA. After graduating from high school, she started her acting career by performing on plays. In 1985, she made her television debut in the TV movie Malice in Wonderland. Two years later, she had her first movie role in Three Men and a Baby. She next had roles in the films Married to the Mob, Eight Men Out, and I’ll Be Home for Christmas. In the 1990s, she first had a voice starring role in Duckman before landing the role of Kim Cooper in the CBS sitcom Almost Perfect.
Later in the 2000s, she played Prof. Joyce Reardon in the miniseries Stephen King’s Rose Red. After this, she starred as Christine “Chris” Connor in the sitcom Becker, then starred as Susan Pearson in The Bill Engvall Show. As of 2011, she stars as Vanessa Baxter in Last Man Standing and Donna Hodges in Mr. Mercedes. She also had notable performances in the movies Chaplin, Internal Affairs, The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants, and The Jane Austen Book Club.
