Nawazuddin Siddiqui is an Indian actor. He debuted in the 1999 film Sarfarosh. In the 2000s, he had minor appearances in several films. Finally, he got his breakthrough in the 2007 film Black Friday. He went on to star in the movies Black & White, Firaaq, and New York. In the 2010s, he became further known for his performances in such films as Dekh Indian Circus and Paan Singh Tomar.
The actor gained wider recognition for starring as Faizal Khan in the movies Gangs of Wasseypur – Part 1 and Gangs of Wasseypur – Part 2. Also, his role in the movie Talaash: The Answer Lies Within won him the Asian Film Award for Best Supporting Actor. In 2013, he starred in the film The Lunchbox, for which he won his first Filmfare Award for Best Supporting Actor. This year, he starred in the films Housefull 4, Roam Rome Mein, and Motichoor Chaknachoor.
