Biography:
Nazanin Boniadi was born on May 22, 1980 in Tehran, Iran, though she was mainly raised in London when her family relocated. She moved to the United States to study at the University of California, Irvine. Though she planned to pursue a career in medicine, taking Biological Sciences in college, she deviated from the plan and pursued acting instead.
She made her acting debut in a short film in 2006. The following year, she landed a guest role in The Game and went on to gain recognition for her role as Leyla Mir in General Hospital, which went on to become her first major role. Afterwards, she acted on such television shows as 24, Hawthorne, and played the recurring role of Nora in How I Met Your Mother. From 2013 to 2014, she played Fara Sherazi in Homeland, followed by her role as Adnan Salif in Scandal.
