Biography:

Niall Horan was born on September 13, 1993 in Mullingar, County Westmeath, Ireland. He has been playing the guitar since he was 11 and has performed locally, including as a support act for Lloyd Daniels in Dublin.

In 2010, he auditioned for the seventh series of The X Factor. He was put through boot camp but failed to proceed. However, with the suggestion of guest judge Nicole Scherzinger, he was put into a group with four other male contestants, thus the boy band One Direction was formed.

They performed as a group and instantly became a popular act in the UK. They soon finished third and was signed to Simon Cowell’s label. They went on to release their debut album, Up All Night, which became an instant success.
