Hollywood celebrity Nicole Kidman started her career in her native Australia. Her performance in the Australian movie Dead Calm proved to be a career-changing work. This led her to starring roles in major Hollywood productions Days of Thunder, Far and Away, and Batman Forever. Her Hollywood career flourished in the 2000s, starring in Moulin Rouge!. For her role here, she got her first Oscar nomination for Best Actress. Her portrayal of Virginia Woolf in The Hours won her her first Oscar for Best Actress. Other notable roles on the big screen were in Eyes Wide Shut, The Others, Cold Mountain, and The Interpreter. She recently starred on the HBO miniseries Big Little Lies. This got her a Primetime Emmy nomination for Best Actress.

The Oscar-winning actress recently turned 50 this year and it’s apparent how she still looks youthful. It’s also amazing how she’s able to sustain her slender and toned figure throughout the years. Her secrets? Aside from being a healthy eater, she’s pretty much active in her lifestyle. For one, she loves to run. In an interview, she said: “I also love to spin. I have a really good idea for a fundraiser. You get like four or five celebrities to come to a spin studio and people pay per bike but it’s all for charity and you can take as many classes as you want. And you have five celebrities and take it over for the day.”

She also reveals how she loves yoga classes, saying: “I don’t like doing it at home. I like to go to class. I like to be around people.” She added: “I do ashtanga. I like vinyasa, too. It’s very good if you run. For the IT band, you know. You need all that and, particularly as you’re getting older, you need to do the things that are not high impact.” With this, she believes in the power of meditation: “I try to do 20 minutes pretty much every day. And if I can do 20 in the morning and 20 at night…that’s my goal.”
